The problem with paying up front

If you pay a creator directly and the post never comes, you have very little you can do. If the creator posts first and you pay after, they carry the same risk. A third party holding the money solves this for both sides. This is also known as escrow.

How it works on ProPop

Every booking follows the same steps:

• You book a creator or they accept your offer, and you pay
• ProPop holds the money while the creator does the work
• The creator makes the post and submits it
• You check it and approve it
• The payment is released to the creator

When you can get your money back

You can ask for a full refund if the creator misses the agreed deadline, or if they can't take up the booking after you have paid.

Check the post when it arrives

Once you approve a post, or it is approved automatically, the money is released and can't be refunded. So look at it as soon as it is submitted.

If you think a post breaks what was agreed, write to ProPop within 7 days of it being submitted. ProPop will look at the agreement and the post, and may refund all or part of the payment.

Write down what you agreed

A held payment protects you best when the agreement is clear. Put the number of posts, the platform, the date and anything that must be said in the offer itself, not in a phone call.
